“its crash when my gpu acceleration on when rendering mpeg 2 for dvd”

GPU will help with some CODECS, notably AVCHD. There is NO GPU acceleration for MPEG or AVI.

Thayalan, you do not mention any hard drives or SSD in any of your system configurations. I would certainly use an SSD for the boot drive C:, and perhaps use 2 pairs (total of 4) of Western Digital 10,000 RPM VelociRaptor drives in a mirror and stripe configuration. This assumes your motherboard supports hardware RAID and can handle that many SATA connections (I count you would need 6). You could just get by with 2 VelociRaptor drives and not worry about redundancy and instead rely on regular backups to a USB 3 drive. You would most likely need to use a 1000W power supply.

I have used VelociRaptor drives and they do run quite hot, so good case cooling is essential.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 12 (x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

Maybe you’re experiencing render times like every one of us.
Or,you maybe working with a different codec, you haven’t mentioned the type of footage that you’re working with.

HD should take a fair amount of time to render.
