Hmnnn. I’m not exactly sure what you mean. Pull a circle from the center? Move an existing one to the center? Can you expand just a little more please?

Place the CTI where you want the color change to occur. Now go to the appearance tab and select the color with the color selector or with the pipette. It will automatically place a keyframe on the particle system timeline. Once you have your colors placed select ‘custom’ from the dropdown color use selection box. This will allow the colors to flow to the next. Boris will automatically create the gradient between colors.

How about duplicating the existing semi sphere and then masking the parts you don’t need when the dozer knocks out the center?

July 13, 2005 at 5:41 am in reply to: Breaks in extrusion texture?

this is a known issue in that the mapped bitmap does not exactly fit the extruded area thus leaving a hole where the texture should belong on the extrusion. The key is to make the extrusion’s face match perfectly with the pixel dimention of the mapped face. There was a workaround that sort of fixed the problem but not completely.

I turned it in as a bug report over the winter. Still waiting for a resolution….

How about a square on top of a medallion and then containerize the two tracks to that they’ll act as one shape?

What happens if you build the same animation in the stand alone engine? Do you get the same results?

Nevermind, I figured it out. Isn’t it funny how you figure things out for yourself after asking a question?

When you started to make the animation did you set your first keyframe’s parameters by clicking the keyframe and making it red and then setting the parameters? This is a big gripe of mine about the keyframer. When the CTI (current time indicator) is on the keyframe and you have the track selected it doesn’t automatically select the keyframe for editing. You literally have to click that keyframe and make it red first.

    good luck…

  • I’ll email you,

    thanks…
