Under “Appearance” is there any way to have multiple random start colors for particles? I’d like to see particles generated with a choice of 3 different colors for a project I’m working on, but I don’t think there’s a way to do it. I wish there were a few more presets in the keyframe library as getting the “look” down is taking a lot of tweaking.

Place the CTI where you want the color change to occur. Now go to the appearance tab and select the color with the color selector or with the pipette. It will automatically place a keyframe on the particle system timeline. Once you have your colors placed select ‘custom’ from the dropdown color use selection box. This will allow the colors to flow to the next. Boris will automatically create the gradient between colors.

    take care…
