This sounds like a Windows problem, so more information will help us solve it.
* What version of Windows are you running?
* Did 10c 64-bit work?Open up the Windows event viewer and look at the details of the 64-bit crash, and also post them here.
You might want to jump waaay ahead and try this:
* get a good backup
* Completely uninstall all versions of Vegas 10 , 32 and 64 bit
* reboot
* Run CCleaner (https://www.piriform.com/cleaner) . Run the regclean section repeatedly until it either reports no problems or can’t fix the ones it lists
* another reboot
* re-install JUST the 10d 64-bitSteve

Hi;
John, I’m having a devil of a time applying audio FX to multiple events. No matter how I try it – plug-in manager, for example, the effect is not applied to all the selected (or highlighted) events, only to one. When I drag it over to the highlighted vents, only the one the cursor is over “lights up” with a box around the event.
Been struggling with this for almost a week.
Thanks,
Steve

HI;
I’m trying to get this script to remove all audio FX. I tried changing the instances of Video (or video) in the script to Audio (or audio) but it fails with this error:
C:Program FilesSonyVegas Pro 10.0Script MenuRemoveAllEffects.js(33) : Variable ‘audioEvent’ has not been declared
Any hints greatly appreciated!

Hi;
I think the easiest way to select a group of contiguous events is to use the Group Select edit tool – it looks like a little arrow pointing up and left. Select it from the main toolbar at the top of Vegas. Once selected, the cursor will look like a little dotted rectangle. You can click and drag an expanding selection box over a group of events. Once selected, you can then drag those events as a group.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Fun, eh?

I Had this exact problem with nearly the same exact LG Bluray burner. Below is what I finally did to fix it, along with the suggestion from Sony support that did NOT fix it. Hope this helps,
Steve

First, I must complain about how ridiculously hard Sony makes the process of asking a question! Every damn time, I have to fill out this crappy form, putting in the SAME DAMN INFO that you ought to be saving in a database with my account!!! It is HORRIBLE!!! No way to just re-open a “solved” question – all I’m trying to do is provide YOU with feedback. But oh, no, Sony won’t provide a “reopen” button – that would make it too easy for shmucks – er customers – to ask questions!!!Below is the original suggestion, which does not work, not with Vegas 9.0 or 10.0, DVD arch 5.0 or 5.2.
I finally figured it out myself. All one has to do is uncheck “use legacy disk drivers”.
Disgusted,
Steve
Hi Stephen,
Vegas and DVD Architect do not detect my new LG BH10LS30 drive
Thank you for contacting Sony Creative Software. First, I apologize for the unusually long delay in responding to you. Our new Vegas Pro 10 has been well-received and as such, a high number of people are coming to us for support on this product.
Please try the following:
1. In Vegas, Navigate to Options – Preferences – CD Settings and select the option for Skip Drive Database, Auto-detect drive capabilities. Click Apply then OK. Close Vegas. Restart your system. Open Vegas again.
2. Is the drive Recognized in Vegas at this point? If it does, try the following in DVD Architect Pro 5.0
3. Navigate to Options – Preferences – General and look for the same option: Skip Drive Database, Auto-detect drive capabilities. Place a check mark next to this item and then select Apply and then OK. Close DVD Architect. Restart your system.
Please respond back with your System info if you should continue to experience problems. Please provide us with your system information to help us further research your issue.
Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information.
Click on File > Export.
Enter a File Name and Choose your Save in Location and Click Save.
Select a destination to save the file (like your Desktop) and enter a name for the file (i.e., si.txt).To attach a file to this incident: Scroll to the bottom of the webpage, Click “Browse”, locate the file, and then click “Open”
When you are ready, select the “Submit Update to Question” button.
If you still have a follow-up question on this particular incident, please feel free to update it. If you have a completely different question, please create a new incident.

Hi;
It would not hurt to look at the Windows Event Viewer. Right click on Computer (or My computer depending on Windows version). Select Manage, then drill down into the Event Viewer and then the logs. Go through them and try to find anything associated with the error. I also like to look for increasing occurrences of errors – for example, was everything more or less ok until after a particular date?
Good luck,
Steve

May 30, 2011 at 5:12 pm in reply to: Right Click Crash “Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)”Hi;
I get this or similar all the time now. Not correlated with a specific project or sequence of events. I’m convinced it is yet another bug – grrrr. Hopefully if we all send in the crash reports Sony will fix it.
Sadly, 10d seems to crash more than did 10c. I’m not a happy camper.
