Enable auto-ripple editing (CTRL+L) and then click on the first clip, and whilst holding down the SHIFT key, select the last clip. Everything after the selection moves down the timeline as as well.
Instead of the SHIFT key, you can also hold down the CTRL key instead whilst selecting clips in any order you want. You can them move them. Have a try.
It’s a good idea to switch off aAuto-Ripple s it can have undesrable results, especially if you add a titles track and forget to move it as well.
I am aware that you are a ‘n00b’, but can I suggest you search the forum first or read the manual?

I think the easiest way to select a group of contiguous events is to use the Group Select edit tool – it looks like a little arrow pointing up and left. Select it from the main toolbar at the top of Vegas. Once selected, the cursor will look like a little dotted rectangle. You can click and drag an expanding selection box over a group of events. Once selected, you can then drag those events as a group.
Hope this helps,
Steve
