Yes. Royalty free. I’m more than happy to pay for music. But finding the right music can be a challenge sometimes.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I really appreciate it. Lots of good suggestions.

  • Never mind. I figured it out. It does allow you to export a compatible project for previous versions.

  • Dave do you happen to know if there is a way to export a project from CC 2018 that would be compatible (openable) with CC 2017?

    Hey Dave, Mike, and Walter,

I wanted to return and report. I was able to render the way I needed to by using the built in AE renderer instead of media encoder. I rendered as a .mov. That seemed to preserve the effects that I had created using ray-traced 3D. So thanks for all the help, you guys are life savers.

    Regards,

    Spencer

Thanks for the responses. I’m using AE CC 2015 Version 13.6.1.6. I have been rendering with media encoder. I prefer to render as an mp4 in H.264, and haven’t found a way to do that from AE’s render queue. But I will try rendering as a QT and see if that works.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there are other rendering options for rendering a high quality alpha besides quicktime animation? Also, I’m not clear on what you mean by putting a soft round mask on the whole thing. Could you clarify that? Thanks again for the input.

Thank you for the response. We do have a budget for this piece so I’m ok shelling out some money. Just having you mention “stinger” has been helpful enough. Thanks!
