This is a known AE bug.
Here is a solution I found on Motionwiki…Short name: After Effects 7 (Win & Mac): Copy & Paste does not insert text from external apps. Description: Copying text from external programs like Textpad, Word and others does not work sometimes. Solution/ Workaround: Restart After Effects.–Mylenium 04:23, 5 December 2006 (PST)

look at Andrew Kramers world zoom tutorial. that technique should work with this. (ie parenting they layers.) theres no other way that i can think of. AE definately wont handel frame sizes that big.

No, no. “Film” as in the more generic cut-together-pictures-and-animations-type-film.
I am of course talking about PAL video. Perhaps I should have been more specific. -

Hmmmm. Normally I alt-double click the footage in the project window. This lets you step through the footage as well, and you can see when its jumping back and forth or not.
At the end of the line, I always have a good film in my avid timeline. The problem is when I have to share the spot with other machines over the network. No one knows whether to import my stuff upper or lower, and I cant tell them. And I cant explain why I cant tell them. -

What Todd said. We produce mainly commercials too, and they get the end product, and the end product only.

I would say they they paid for an eight minute video cut together from differant location shoots. Thats what they got.
Who said anything about about raw material?
Here in Germany, I own my footage. They customer gets what we agreed he pays for. Raw material costs extra. -
Unfortunately, as I said before, we won’t be able to bring in an outside company for this. I will be expected to solve these matters on my own without a lot of help.

I work for a TV station in Germany (also PAL land), and we have 5 xpress pro suites and an Adrenaline. We dont have field order problems with our DV material.
Digitise the stuff in the native DV codec (4:2:0) and it should still be lower field first. Thats the case with me, at any rate…

Theres no standard, no right or wrong to lower thirds. So long as your text is in the title safe zones and easily readable (ie light text on darker background, or vice-versa and dont use fonts with serifs), and your colours are broadcast safe, everything else is up to you. It should stay static for at least 4 seconds before blended (or animated) out. A little longer when theres something a bit more complicated to read. But other than that, please yourself. Oh, and dont use them on closeups, and dont cover any important element in your picture.
