Everytime you export the content of the timeline work area, are you making it into a new greneration ? i thought this was just rehandling digital information and wouldn’t count as a new generation copy ?

    > Are you using the video presets in Photoshop?

do you mean presets that are applied to the TIFF when saving ? I’ve just been leaving that default. Also, i’m not using any other video presets, in the filter section there are De-Interlace and NTSC Colors filters – not sure what they do exactly

    > What frame size are you exporting? And how are you interpreting it when you import it back in?

I’m exporting at 720 x 480. In photoshop the image size is showing as 720 x 480. I am importing back in via file > import and then selecting the TIFF. It is showing as a still image at the same size (720 x 480) as the original clip that i exported the frame from.

The only different i can see is that under video info for the clip, it is showing 720 x 480 (0.9) and the still is showing 720 x 480 (1.0)

BTW is 720 x 480 the highest pixel ratio i can go ? if i want the best possible qauility, should i / can i set this higher ?

    Cheers, Shaun

April 13, 2005 at 6:54 pm in reply to: How to import images into Premiere, please help

That has happened to me before and the way i got around it was to zoom and use the razor to cut out 1 frame and then i selected it and copy / pasted it for the duration i wanted. It worked fine but maybe there is a faster way.

    Hope that helps, shaun
