You can transfer sequences, not full projects. you’ll have to rebuild the projects and bring in the media, transcode it, all that. Yeah, there are many editing features that Avid has (most NLEs have) that resolve doesn’t , because it’s a coloring tool with editing abilities, not a full blown editor.

Everything else listed seems to indicate they want an MXF file. I’d ask them to be sure.
“I’m sorry, can you clarify this deliverable? Do you mean ‘MXF’ rather than ‘MXP?’ Thanks!”

Using the CREATE PROXIES is an Premiere-only thing. A process for Premiere to read the full res file, but make editable proxies to lighten the load, and then relink back to masters with a click of the button. It’s a purely internal Premiere workflow.
What is your ultimate goal? what is your workflow? You need to make Proxies for Avid…but then, what will you be onlining with? You need to make them in such a way that they can be relinked easily to the masters for online…so you either do that in the tool you are going to be onlining with…or you do them in Avid. You can’t use Premiere to make Avid proxies to relink to masters in Resolve…for example.

The Mac OS Catalina stops supporting many many QT file types. You’ll have to convert those to more edit-friendly formats now….with VLC.
I know this is moot now, but the general rules for upgrading are:
1) Never do it in the middle of a project, unless absolutely necessary.
2) Research as much as you can about the upgrade, to see if it breaks anything your workflow relies on. Catalina has had many warnings posted all over about the halting of support for many QT formats.Sorry about that!

Sorry…not ignoring you. Normally I don’t like to say, “nope, sorry, can’t be done” because invariably SOMEONE will come along and prove me wrong.
Although…maybe I SHOULD say that so that someone WILL prove me wrong and I too can switch to that option:
Nope, sorry…can’t be done.
(anxiously awaiting to be proven wrong)

You are welcome. I certainly hope you got my message LONG BEFORE you thanked me. That’d be a LONG TIME to deal with not knowing how to import!
