    Hi,

I’m trying to make a proxy in Premiere, that Avid can read. Is that possible? I would very much like to make a workflow in which Resolve-Roundtrip is excluded. Is there a way bring other format options into the “Create Proxies < Format:” Option tab fx?

    Thanks in advance!

Using the CREATE PROXIES is an Premiere-only thing. A process for Premiere to read the full res file, but make editable proxies to lighten the load, and then relink back to masters with a click of the button. It’s a purely internal Premiere workflow.

What is your ultimate goal? what is your workflow? You need to make Proxies for Avid…but then, what will you be onlining with? You need to make them in such a way that they can be relinked easily to the masters for online…so you either do that in the tool you are going to be onlining with…or you do them in Avid. You can’t use Premiere to make Avid proxies to relink to masters in Resolve…for example.
