  • I’m exporting in MPEG-2 DVD. I didn’t change the other settings, except the quality that I raised to 5.

I followed you advice, but now when I start rendering, it goes till frame 65176 of 200342 and stops, and the program hangs, and I have to force quit.

I’ve created another project and imported another footage (9 minutes only). It then rendered ok, but when I tried to do some cuts and add some titles, the program hanged and I had to force quit it.
I’m using Mac OS X 10.6.4 with 4 MB of RAM, the video card is ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB (that came with the iMac). I cannot figure out what’s the problem.

Yes, I can understand your explanation. But I remember that I´ve had watched some DVDs with good quality subtitles, i.e., I would like to know how get this result.
So, what is the advantage of creating Image Script Files, where we have to create a picture file for each subtitle, if the result is the same of the Text Script files?

Thank you for the explanation. It worked.
The only thing I cannot figure out is how to replicate DVDs using the Image generated, inside Encore.
I know how to do it in Nero, but with Encore I could not find out a command to read a disk image and make a copy.
There´s a mention in Encore help that it can be done, but not explaining how.

Yes, I know. But how do I set this bitrate when exporting to Encore?

Yes, it does. But how can I put this 2 hour video in a single layer DVD?

In my Preferences, the scratch disk is the same disk of the project for Captured Video, Captured Audio, Video Preview, Audio Preview, Media Cache and DVD Encoding. Can it be the cause for freezing?

As the client could not wait, I used the chroma key effect inside Premiere. It’s not as good as the chroma key effect in AFX but I got a good result, and the character footage didn’t loose quality.
The keying in AFX was ok, but when I rendered it and imported to Premiere, the subject was out of focus.
