Thank you for the tip. It works OK when all tracks are continuous. But in my case the audio track one is made of several speech segments with blank spaces between them. And when I want to cut in a point that has a blank space, the Control-K command doesn’t works. I cannot razor cut a blank space in my timeline. It’s really strange, because I was used to work with an old AVID system and when I wanted to extract a portion of the timeline cutting all tracks, I marked an IN and an OUT point, selected all tracks, and voila, I could extract that portion or lift that portion leaving the space.
Can’t I do it with Premiere?

Actually I want to cut a portion of about 5 seconds in my timeline. I understand that I have to set IN and OUT points and then cut all tracks at once in order to maintain the sync between all tracks ahead the cut point.

    Thank you for your help.
I remember that sometime ago I heard about this procedure.
    I’ll try it.
    Thank you.

    Hi Jeff,

What are your project settings? (NTSC, PAL, D1, DV, HD, HDV, etc.)

The project is set to NTSC DV

What is the footage you are importing (pixel dimensions and PAL/NTSC)?

The footage is QuickTime 720 x 486 rendered in After Effects – upper field

What codec was used to make the QuickTime?

    Avid ABVB codec

    Thank you for your help.

Suppose I’m creating a footage inside After Effects like a graphic animation, text, rolling text, etc.
When I render using NTSC DV it will automatically render with fields? Lower fields first?
I’m asking this because fields off is the default in AFX if you don’t choose the field order.
