Yes, try any cheaper video card before you change the station and loose the cpu speed…
Your animator is right you can’t create primitives within Invigorator classic.

The ai files are not necessary as long as you already opened them in Invigorator they will show up once I open your aep.

Yes it’s OK if you intend to animate only 8 sets. If you have more, then depending on your animation you could assign more then one letter per set or use a second Invigorator instance.

Layer mapping is the answer as already mentioned. Just keep your object/TV once you draw it in IL at the same aspect ratio then your movie clip.
