Hi Michael,
Funny, I gave an advanced ae class last Friday and someone asked exact the same question.
First to create a honeycomb you need “Hexagons” (six-sided polygons)
Second CS3 inherited a couple of (Well hidden) Illustrator features and here is one that will certainly help you:
After selecting your polygon shape, click and hold your pen or mouse on your comp window then click once on your page up arrow et voila! you changed the default pentagon to an hexagon.
By clicking the page up or down arrow you can create many different shapes starting from a triangle to a perfect circle.
And don’t let the little icons on your tool palette fool you. AE defaults to a pentagon but shows an hexagon
Salut.

Hi,
When using version 4.5 you must save your custom edges in here:
C:\Documents and Settings\ADMIN\My Documents\Zaxwerks\3D Invigorator PRO\Custom Edges

Hi Dave,
Lesson two of the DVD named “How Invigorator maps objects”
TC: (01:49:27:26)should explain everything you need to know to map an object.Especially the trick with the checkerboard effect.
If you still have issues just send me your AEP and one of the offending textures to (serge at nyc-visual dot com)

Hi,
You must be using Invigorator 4.5.
Make sure you’re modifying the Custom Edges folder in the
My Documents/Zaxwerks/Invigorator” folder, not the installation folder as it used to be.Salut,

Hi Richard,
Did you try switching your text layer to 3D, adding a wide angle camera layer (15mm for instance)and rotating the text layer X-Axis etc… so it fits your billboard perspective?

Hi,
I would suggest you to use the “Timecode” Effect instead of the “Numbers”. Then all you need to do is adjust the Starting Frame parameter. The value of(108000)should get you there.

Hi Michael,
To eliminate the movement with the “Numbers” effect just uncheck the “Proportional Spacing” box.
Does this help?

Hi Dave,
Brian gave you a short but excellent explanation here. I just wanted to add that I have an old but still relevant in depth tutorial on proxies. Just click on my mugshot to find it.

Hey,
I didn’t say that & you didn’t say either that you are using Photoshop.
I thought you would be using Illustrator. Aren’t you?Check the following thread: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/41/858452#858452
You could also search the archive for other ones.
If you are still stuck then send me your file at (serge at nyc-visual dot com)
