Yeah those were some mp4 files downloaded from youtube and that was the problem. I was just glad to finally find some other type that actually OPENS in vegas and doesn’t occupy hundreds of mb/min so I didn’t bother to convert them. It seems I have no choice though.

omg that was it -_- I should have done that before posting the question. I panicked (like always when it comes to SV) and rushed over here for nothing…

Mp4 might be suitable for vegas but it’s never worked on mine. It always gives me problems. Either with the rendering or it makes the preview lag. I converted all of them to avi and it rendered now.

It’s not a particular event, it’s the whole project. No matter which portion I select to render it will do the same thing. Right now I’m trying to convert some of the files I used. Maybe mp4 isn’t that suitable for SV :/

Yes I know, that’s why I never used paste even attributes because it copied everything else as well. I was hoping there was actually a way I wasn’t aware of. But thank you for the track fx idea! I really didn’t think of that! It could be helpful when I don’t already have too many tracks to get lost into…

Thanks!! I don’t know how I never thought of trying that. I just assumed it will still replace the effects when I paste.

You could use overlays if you wanna get that kind of texture. And just adjust the colours of the video with color corrector till you get that faded style you want. It can look something like this:

Oh sure. I highly doubt anyone else will encounter this silly issue though… 🙂 You just have to drag that line in between the chain and the keyframes. It was damn simple but I just didn’t notice that line and kept trying to drag in all other places…

Oh my God, yes that was it! Thank you so much! I rendered in wmv this time and it worked! I always kept the same settings for rendering because I found them on a tutorial and supposedly they were in the best format (mp4). I’m so relieved now, I won’t have to remake that whole passage, thank you so much! 🙂

I did that RAM preview thing and it showed the clip playing correctly, not just a solid blue. But it still won’t render as it should.
