So pressing “enter” is only pre-rendering? The footage is untouched then. No compression added isa that right.

So the only true rendering/compression is when exporting movie then?

I have already done alot of work on it. When I go to Project REndering settings there at Cinepak. Other options it gives me is:
Microsoft Video 1
Micrsoft RLE
Uncompressed UYYY422 8bit
None

Should I use none? Since it will be compressed in end?

there like 640×480. 20MB. Bad quality.

It was originally Beta but has already been turned into low low quality QT movies.

Hi Rob I already tried that. I even went into folder options to see if I could even make the icon a AE icon and that didn’t work either.

Not for me. I am working on simple small footage nothing large. Last night I worked for about 4 hours and it crashed 4 times. My files are on secondary drive. Defragged HDrives. 2GB RAM. Still its crashes perodically.

I saw the Canon HG10 but it isn’t quite good enough. willing to spend more then tht also.
