    I have a Sony VX2000 I rarely use it. I want to upgrade to something that shoots a convincing 24p and is HD as well as SD. Those would be 2 most important features as well as good picture quality. Picture quality doesn’t have to be amazing nor does audio.

    Can this be had in something not so proconsumer in a $2K range?

    I saw the Canon HG10 but it isn’t quite good enough. willing to spend more then tht also.

    The closest thing you’re going to find in that price range that does HD with good features is the Sony HVR-A1U, which runs around $2300.
