just to clarify – am i not meant to uninstall previous version first like on .0 releases in the past – but instead click v8 installer and upgrade 7.1.1 following the database backup process you mention??
any chance someone can layout this process in detail?

In AE is it a plugin or just the built in grain effects. What is the process of getting it out properly with transparency and setting right? I am curious to give it a try in Resolve – would i just keep pasting it over footage on track 2 wherever there are shots that need grain on them?

I have the Panasonic Plasma VT25 50″ 3D television – do you know if this will take 1.4a by chance? I think regardless I will want the most ‘capable card’ moving forward i guess we’ll see if B7H corrects there mistake – I also cant help but wonder about newer cards and devices coming out from BMD – i mainly use resolve and color so would be curious to get your thoughts on this topic

Just to clarify – I want to install V8 and I am currently on 7.1 and about to go thru all of the available fxphd resolve classes – my question is should i hold off on upgrading to V8 while i do these tutorials in the next week or will it be fine to use V8 for all of the currently available fxphd tuts?

So what I still don’t understand is exactly what that difference is…you said in your first response about Ethernet &frame packing but I am hoping you can explain that a little bit more precisely – excuse my tech ignorance here but I just want to make sure I wont regret not having the capability as some point especially since the 3D+ is what I asked for when i placed the order and just now realized that is not what i got!

I was under the impression and I even asked to make sure with b&h that i was buying the 3D+ so before I go and bug them about this what am I missing in only have the 3D?
Any info you can provide would be great as I am colorist just moving over to Davinci after having invested in all of the hardware, panel and now software.

just to clarify – unless the new class is coming out this week I am waiting to upgrade my system from 7.1 to 8 so that I can proeely learn from updated lessons. my question is whether that matters at all – I have the courses for previous version and was about to dive in and learn right when v8 came out – does it matter if I upgrade and use the courses currently available or should I stay at 7.1 to do the courses and then upgrade to 8 when warren’s new course comes out?
