Sorry to disagree with one of the responses but the original question has not been answered and I would like to find a way of doing this:
You inherit a sequence of audio cuts (segments) and want to use the audio keyframe / rubber band method of mixing. I want to put a single keyframe in the middle of each segment which I can then adjust within each segment or lasso multiple keyframes and adjust them as a group.
It seems that once a clip has been cut into segments there is no way of adding a keyframe to all the segments without clicking on each segment and manually adding them.
What I want is an option on the Audio Mixer fast menu that is “Add Volume Automation on track In-Out” .

John. I have just got Resolve 10 on my PC which has the P9X79 motherboard and I came across this post.
Could you let me know the slots you used for this config with the nVidia Quadro 4000 for GUI
nVidia GTX580 3GB for GPUMany thanks.

Thanks Richard. Think from Freeverse (https://www.freeserve.com/think/) does the job of hiding the desktop nicely. I would recommend it to all editors who have to use Avid on a Mac.
Because 99.5% of the facilities i work in have PC’s it is odd to change to the Mac version.
Now all I have to do is change the maximise, minimise and close button to the top right of the bins!

Thanks Shane. I don’t think I will ever get to like the Mac platform. Way too restrictive.

Hi Anna. I suggest you go to the Windows>Workspaces menu in Avid and select Source/Record editing. If this was not already selected then your open bins/project window will probably move around. The project windows likes to go to the bottom left of the screen.
Arrange all the bins and tools the way you want them and then go back to the Windows>Workspaces menu and click on “Save Current”. The next time you open MC it should restore your layout.
Bins have a habit of hiding behind other windows like your source/record or timeline, so try moving these to see if the bins are behind.
If you are using one monitor check your windows dislay options are not set to extend on to a second monitor. Unlikely if a second monitor is not installed, but possible. The bins could be on the second monitor.
Try these and let the forum know if it solves your problems.

November 23, 2011 at 10:49 pm in reply to: Can’t install MC6 because Mac can’t change to 64-bit kernelMarco. Thanks for the above link to cure the font issues I was having. It worked a treat. Can’t understand why this is not the default setting for MC6.

November 22, 2011 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Can’t install MC6 because Mac can’t change to 64-bit kernelThanks John. You’re right of course – have a large glass of your favourite and send me the bill.
Now got MC6 up and running. Black magic intensity card pushing out the picture to an HD monitor through HDMI straight away.
My first though is how awful the font is. Really bad kerning and virtually unreadable when t and i are together – eg untitled! Whichever font I select (Verdana is the best I’ve found) it is hard to read. Any suggestions?

The other way to do it is to open the “site setting” window found in the Special menu. Just drag a setting into that window, change user and drag it back into the settings. It will be added to that user’s settings.

November 21, 2011 at 11:10 pm in reply to: Dongle situation question with MC6 software upgradeThanks Ed.
Thanks to your link I have successfully updated the dongle. I have opened up MC v5.5.1 and the license on the opening page says dongle, so it has worked fine.
Note to others: the dongle update asks for an “activation code”. This is the same as the “software licence number” you are given when you upgrade.
Tomorrow I plan to uninstall v5.5 and install v6. I am concerned that material off a SxS card from an EX3 will not work as an AMA on v6, but that is for another thread.
