Got it. The main problem was the clips I was working with were in the DV codec. Ugly and not supported for keying within FCP. Got it redone in Sorenson. Worked great.

    Thanks,

    Zane:

Trying to create an HDV sequence and “edit to tape” to an HDV deck via FW. I seem to create the sequence, nest in the XDCAM sequence, but when I try to edit or print to tape, no communication is established. If I try edit to tape, FC tells me to change settings in A/V settings. Setting don’t jive, etc. I change everything but then I go to A/V devices under “different settings from sequence when printing to tape”, I cannot find and HDV FW option. The system will talk to the deck. I did manage to get the deck to roll but with no signal. Deck works fine in SD/DV mode.

    Lost,

I use XDCAM as well but input via FW using the Sony utility. What is the Pro Res buying you? Do you capture in realtime and convert then or do you import and then convert everything over. Just curious as to why you convert to ProRes.

Not sure where that setting is. In Kona, FCP or deck?

I have an extra Targa board and a breakout cable if you want them. Make an offer for these two high tech items.

Understood. But when you apply them, they appear full size and not smaller and higher in the text line. Is there a way to apply these symbols correctly as used in the print world.

    Thanks,

It was my CalDigit hard drive array. The drivers needed to be updated. That has been done and back to normal. So if you are rendering or capturing to an external drive, update the drivers. You may even check with internal drives. I got this info from Apple support. I have since been put on the update list by CalDigit so I am notified of driver updates.

    Thanks for your feedback,
    Scott
