Using “R” or “TM” in Text
Posted by Scott Sniffen on July 31, 2008 at 1:59 pmIs there a simple way of putting the registered R or TM in using text? I can get them in but only full size, not small and in the corner they way they are designed to be used.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Scott -

July 31, 2008 at 2:32 pmIf you use the Boris 3d Text, you can adjust each character individually, including the smaller size and baseline (which should raise it like your wanting).
FCP’s title doesn’t allow this to my knowledge, so I just usually leave a space and add another text layer.,
Boris is the easier, more convenient way.

Trying this in FCP 5.1.4, with both FCP Text and Boris Title 3D, with a number of fonts, the “TM” is properly superscript, which is how it it built, and the “R” is same height as normal characters, which is how I usually see it used in print. Same observed just placing these characters in TextEdit and other word processing apps. -
