Leave it to Jobs and team to continually abandon or create new problems for long time and new Mac users. I use a dual 2.7 G5 and just found out the CS3 Production Suite requires an Intel processor if you intend to use Premiere, Encore and Soundbooth – AE works just fine. Damn, can’t they get this stuff right? Glad I’m on both Mac and PC . . .

Give a 10,000 rpm hard drive a try. If you can upgrade your processor to a faster one, try that too.

I’d try a one, two or three frame feathered circle filled with white.

Sometimes the easiest way to do this is to find a side view of the car on the internet and draw your graphics in Illustrator on the placed image. To get the scale as close as possible, get the actual dimensions of the car and scale your graphic to fit those measurements. Make sense?

There’s a particular way to name your Button’s layers in Photoshop to get them to behave correctly in Encore. Check here:

Get Info on the JPG and there should be a section in there that allows you to change the default “open with application” setting.

Use the direct select tool (open white arrow) to select the rectangle and move it . . . or go to preview mode to view the vector lines only and select the four points that make up the rectangle (holding shift to select all four) and move the rectangle.

I would create this in Illustrator. Yes, you can do this in Photoshop, but I think Illustrator is better suited for this type of work, especially when it comes to selecting objects to change their color, add gradients, strokes, etc. Much faster and easier.
