Add a texture layer above your image – shoot a photo of rough texture like a sidewalk, a wood table, scratched rusty metal, etc., and put that into a layer above your image. Then change the blending mode of this layer to overlay, or multiply, etc. to get the desired effect. You can find some free texture images here:

Use the rectangular marquee tool to select the area you want to crop and hit the “Add Layer Mask” button at the bottom of the layers palette. This will “crop” down your layer and leave the others untouched.

Quite a pain but have you tried converting the .mts into a container/codec like quicktime animation?

Copy from Illustrator into Photoshop and place as pixels. To distort, what I do is drag the corner handles individually to match the lines on whatever i’m dropping the object onto – in this case, the side of the van…match your objects lines (horizontal and vertical boundaries) to the lines on the side of the van.
