The transition looks to me to be a relatively basic ‘flash wipe’
You would either create your own 1-1.5 second organic image with some movement to it using the colors you would like. Then, place the image
on your timeline over the area you want the transition to occur. Fade it in over 5-10 frames then fade out in 5-10 frames. Where the customization occurs is you will want to play with some of the compositing modes to see which looks best, you may also want to apply a glow to your ‘overlayed’ image to help ‘blow out the color’ some so your transition is more seemless. Lastly, fade the two scenes you want the transition to occur with, between each other over 5-10 frames as well, so your eye does not pick up an obvious ‘cut’ underneath your “flash” transition.Hope that gets you close.

No, I used Electric Image and its amazing renderer “Camera” (I love cameras ease of use, speed, and quality.) Lots of good renderers out there…..
It was modeled in Rhino.

I agree Hunter, I still do it in particle illusion by importing the footage from ae into Pi. and animating the scale velocity angles etc
to look 3d. I just have to mask off a few elements. Not Ideal I know,
but at least I get the look I want.If you HAVE to have it done in Particular, I would google better fire in particular…. or something like that and see what comes up.
good luck

i dont want to sound difficult or anything, but to me, good effects work means occasionally having to add a tiny bit more complication to the workflow, as apposed to an easier flow that is difficult to use. I use particle illusion 90% of the time over particular BECAUSE i get the look I want FASTER and better. Trust me, I have tried particular a LOT. I love how clean a look you can get, but you need to be very skilled with it to get what you want quickly.

IT seems the issue is interpeting the file in Final Cut. I would try rendering it out in AFTER EFFECTS at the exact resolution and aspect ratio you need or want in Final cut. I personally am not aware of whether
an 840×480 square pixel image is SUPPOSED to just snap into 720 x 480. Those numbers seem odd to me. If I am right its simply that final cut is blending or softening the fields into each other a as a result of this. You need CLEAN field separation. So do it in AE FIRST. Than import into final cut.hope that helps some

particle illusion has some great freezing emitters. They are very convincing.

Hi RON 🙂 sounds like an animation challenge! Lets go!
You are very confident, I did not know you worked in AE that much.
I learn new things every day…. I have a scene on my reel of Sun studios that ‘fakes’ water motion and splash effects, sort of a 3\4 realistic look.SuperNova

easy to do in 3d if your comfortable their. Otherwise Zax has a product called flex I believe that could maybe do it. 3d is the easiest way to go.
good luck
