Thanks Danny, the two main things I need to know about are what format to render to in Vegas, (and if I then use the print to tape function to send it out). I believe that is the proper way.
The second is if I will need a sync generator for the Beta deck, or if I can use one of the Y out to the sync in on the deck with the BM Intensity. I would love to know if I need to get a black sync box before I NEED to print out to BetaThanks again all!!

Thanks all!!! I have checked on the Blackmagic Design as well as numerous others for this workflow…I had hoped someone here had worked with this before me….I THINK I have my mind wrapped around it, but better to hear from someone else that has the knowhow ahead of time!! My rack mount case comes in tomorrow and I will be assembling everything in the next several days, so I will check back on this subject…thanks again!!

No they are not 64bit plug ins, but I do remember a post stating that the are usable for the 64bit version of Vegas….here’s hoping!

I know Verizon has 20MB, but emails are just too small. I HAVE used WMV when content was more important than quality to preview….I use Mediafire and love it. Dropbox is also an option. Good luck!

I also have had good success with doing this…My laptop has HDMI and SVGA…720p worked great on a display!

I agree, if you need a Mac, get the Mac Pro…if not, stay in the PC world. I have 3 editing suites all PC and ALWAYS can be editing and rendering!!! Vegas’s only issue for me as well is the previewing…And you can get 2-3 PC’s for the cost of the Mac pro….good luck!

iMacs are also hard to upgrade as everything is pretty much internal. You cannot swap out hard drives, graphics cards or even upgrade the ram on your own. With HD space being a premium with editing, this is an issue. I believe you actually have to remove the front of the screen with a suction cup to even attempt any form of internal upgrade. With that said, I would get a G5 tower so you have options for upgrades….good luck!!

December 5, 2010 at 11:53 pm in reply to: Adding subliminal messages in Sony Vegas 9.0I have not tried that myself, but make sure you have “Quantize to frames” turned off and see if that helps….good luck!

These guidelines are also in DVDA as well, I use them for making sure menu items also stay within the safe areas!
