Paul, if you are planing on using the Seritek adapter to attach eSATA drives then you will not have access to the slot for the P2. You could get a drive system that attaches by both FW and sata. Attach by FW to transfer P2 and then attach by sata to edit.

I like the Logitech MX but lately I’ve been using Wacom tablet and am growing really fond of it.

First, Rule of thumb is to not use the FCP viewer on an LCD for color correction. Second, I’ve had decent luck with the Dells. The ACD’s are really nice and in my opinion as much time as you are going to be spending with it $200 is not even worth putting in the equation.

Panasonic’s DVCPRO increases track pitch and width to 18 microns, and uses a metal particle tape for better durability. So, disregard what I said. The DSR-11 only record DV and DVCAM.

Steve, I am confused then. DVCPRO is DV is it not? The DSR-11 will both play and record DV.

Chris, yes. DVCPRO25 is DV. DVCPRO 50 or 100 no.
