Apply a speed change and check the little box that says “reverse”.

Not sure where your media went; but the reason you can “see” your media under the title is that you are looking at a render file for that section.

Thanks for the confirmation. I couldn’t test as all machines are rendering!!

When a cross dissolve is applied to a pict file (title I made in PS) I want the dissolve to be slower. Longer dissolve doesnt seem to work. Its seems like the graphic goes from 0% opacity to at least 80-100% in the first half of the dissolve.

August 19, 2010 at 3:35 pm in reply to: Ergonomics + shoulder pain

I totally agree that the pain can be lessened or removed by physical activity. Our work is so inherently unhealthy, sitting in a dark room, in front of EMF emitting monitors, stressed to the gills, and exhausted. Like the above post said, try to get up and move every hour, get massage, strengthen the rhomboids and other muscles around the scapulas, stretch your glutes, psoas and abdominal, and be very attentive to your posture. I see so many editors with horrible, slouching posture that gets ingrained in their soft tissue which over the course of time leads to chronic pain. Get on it now so that it doesn’t become debilitating!!!

  • Andrew, I am having a similar problem. What do you mean by checking your in and out points? Mine does it with no in out points.

Kevin, I believe RAID is fine. My other timeline with similar settings have media on this same RAID. They are fine. I noticed that I had forgotten to “prep” my sequence for Color (ie bake in all speed changes) and I am trying to see if that is the problem.

Thanks Jerry, I think I got it figured out. I had some audio that was sent to me at 32 bit!!! I did not know there even was such a thing. Amazing FCP worked at all. Things are much better once I converted it to 16 bit and cut it back in.
