Timeline weirdness.
I have a ProRess 422 1920×1080 29.97 timeline. All media is either ProRess 422 1920×1080 29.97 or lower third pict files, or stills that are well below 4k. Timeline plays flawessly. Not a single drop frame or hiccup. But when I scroll through it it hangs up, I get the beach ball (no crash though), and the cursor does that white flashy thing. I have a more than capable system (4870 gfx card, HDONE raid, 8G ram, no software conflicts) and have gone to great pains to make sure everything is similar and correct. Any ideas on this?
What I’ve done so far:
-trashed prefs,
-did the copy and paste into new sequence dance
-deleted all render files and re rendered -

Sounds like a problem with the RAID. Can you try the clips on a different drive?

Kevin, I believe RAID is fine. My other timeline with similar settings have media on this same RAID. They are fine. I noticed that I had forgotten to “prep” my sequence for Color (ie bake in all speed changes) and I am trying to see if that is the problem.
