The 350 can NOT output SD SDI it can only output HDSDI. The newer model PDW-F355 does have the ability to output SD SDI.

Are you transferring to a local drive or a network drive?

My guess is that the clip that is causing the problem is larger than 2GB and you are hitting that limit. Try setting the preferences to save to a local HSF formatted drive and see if it transfers OK.

I don’t have one but if it is A/C, then polarity will not matter.

I looked at the specs on the HA16X6.3ERM. Although they list the filter diameter at 107mm that is the filter size that must fit into the hood. It looks to me that the actual front diameter is 95mm, so your matte box will probably work.

I would vote with the others and at least look at the 13×4.5, I love the wide side.

Glad you got it working! I was about to say you could use your latest backup (you do make backups several times a day, right?) or the backup created in the Autosave Vault (saves every 30 minutes by default).

You should be using Sony’s XDCAM Transfer software. Read the Sony Whitepaper-

Final Cut Pro and XDCAM HD

    Download the software –

    XDCAM Transfer Software

Or you can find a link to the latest 1.1 release on the Sony UK website-

Use the Kona LH for viewing XDCAM HD material – not capturing.

February 18, 2006 at 3:31 am in reply to: New Panasonic HD Camera

Having already had a demo of the Sony F350 XDCAM HD, knowing that Thomson will show the GVG Infinity camera at NAB and thinking back to NAB 2005 where Panasonic had showed a mockup of a P2 HD camera, I found Jeff’s comments rather hard to believe. Now read this report on some of Panasonic’s plans for NAB 2006.

I suppose the AJ-HPC2000 is not necessarily the next “Varicam” but I still find Jeff’s comments in the post you reference as less than candid.

A Big Knob would be another option.

No problems capturing HD-SDI – FCP 5 – Decklink HD – Xraid. Have you tried a clean install?

    Yes!

I have seen this exact same behavior. The other codecs seem OK.
    Using Dual 2Ghz, Deaklink HD.
