Sure, the manual, page 103 :
Change Parent Directory
When the location of the source clips has changed, use the ‘Change Parent Directory’ option to relink to the new clip location. This will automatically search for the new parent location of the clips that have been placed into the Media Pool. Highlight one or more clips within the Media Pool and right click to select ‘Change Parent Directory of Clips.’ A window will display the original path for the material and let you enter or browse to the new path. Select the Change button to start the relink. If there is no match found, no change will occur.in both fields you want the parent path, no file names or sub folders, but the directory up to the point where it is identically.

The thing is that people want Media Express on the same system.
I normally install Video Desktop and then reinstall Resolve to fix it.

You cant.
And there are numerous reasons for that.
i know Lustre has some LUTs but they are also just a rough guideline and not accurate.
You should call a lab you would like to work with and ask them to help you with your viewing pipeline.
For example, it makes much more sense you get your viewing system calibrated for P3 for example, and then get a P3 to Vision or Prime LUT from them.
Only then you will come close to what the final print, at this lab, on this stock will look.
We did that with Soho Labs and Arri and had great results.A slice of color…

No, no , dont replace anything.
Make a new video track and keep your source.
That is also vital to back track VFX and stuff.
Replace only works if you get the exact same clip WITH proper length, timecode and so on.
If you already have grading on your source, middle click it to get the base grading and then manually copy paste all node (why, oh why) to get all the animated ones into your nodes too.
Then you can compare source and VFX (only in the Conform, not in the Color page, again, why?) to each other and check for frame offsets or other problems.A slice of color…

Sure, just load it into the media pool, make a new video track and drop it onto it.
And if you are going through a high number of iterations, do youself a favor and use the same filename for all future versions, keep track of them in seperate folders and always make a copy to the initial source.
Then you only have to load it once.
Oh, and let them know if they render without timecode and proper names, they better sell icecream 😉A slice of color…

In theory you can do that by setting your cache preferences to User Select.
But as stated before, what use is it when it gets lost when changing projects.
Chache AND Proxy need to be maintained and should only be invalidated by user input.
Also I really reallt really would like to see proxy creation based on the timeline and not just the source file.
Then it also should work from quicktimes and not only DPX files.
We tend to work from centralized storage servers those days, and a working proxy/cache mode is key to keep working in an online/offline environment when there is a network outage for example.
Not to point fingers, but Scratch (finally, after years of asking)has a very well working Consolidate function for the exact same purpose.A slice of color…
