Yes, I am actually using one and its very good.
And honestly, you can probably use the free version when money is super tight and just spend the cash on the Decklink card.
And of course you don’t have to buy the big one, any will do, it just has to be the latest generation.
If its a one shot, I would go that route.
Scratch wins hands down in a commercial driven workflow , but if you have a feature with a lot of tracking planed, Resolve will help you a lot.
But your Aja card will be shelved for the time being, you need the slots for the GT120+GT470.A slice of color…

Hey Nick,
I have the pleasure to constantly switching back and forth between the two and its not an easy choice.
Both systems have a lot of great tool and point that speak against or for them.
Davinci is amazing when it comes to the extra color tools like predefined isolation curves, the gallery store and the tracker of course.
It also has a working multi timeline.
Scratch is impressively flexible when it comes to media management, versioning and the whole interface is much more flick-able.i could go into details for hours, but bottom line, it comes down what exactly you want to do, what media files you have, what interface you like and how your equipment looks.
Both are fine solutions , thats why we use both …A slice of color…

I had the same problem several time and i am not able to recreate it, but it happens.

Too much hassle..
For now the 470 is best…far better than the 4000 for sure.
If Apple relly brings nVidia back into the boat…hooray.
If not, power users will move to MS anyway.A slice of color…

And please please , think twice before doing it.
It takes around 5-10 minutes to do it on a 500 shot timeline.
You can not stop it.
And even better, you can not UNDO it.
So if you are parked in your Powergrades tab (like me, last night) and you execute the command, you flood your precious selected powergrades with all the stills from that one timeline.
Best is to create an empty gallery page first, put em all in there and then save.
Oh, and middle clip is better in most cases to avoid dissolves and stuff.A slice of color…

The only thing that happens is that standards are dropping and people who would have considered going to a colorist now pay overtime to the editor who has a new free plugin.
Or they just ask him to do it for free because he didn’t payed anything either.Its not good to throw niche software away for free.
They should stop selling it solo then and bundle it with the panel for 10K.

You are in the right place, but doing it wrong.
I know its tricky and unforgiving and in my world I would just have a file find function but well, this is what we have today.
Normally the problem occurs when you select stull that has two different source path names.
try it one file first
then try another.
then try to combine themI bet it will work 🙂
PS. if you changed it to black, you are scr…, close the project and redo it from scratch
