Yes, thats the thing.
You can only have ONE person looking at it.
A group of people is much better served with a “properly adjusted” Plasma.
The viewing angle is so small on the OLED, it only makes sense for yourself or a guy in a chair bolted to the floor.
And no one can say anything today about the lifespan of an organic product.
Right now, I feel I am better of with a properly calibrated EIZO CG245 and the Plasma mentioned before.
Plus an UltrscopeA slice of color…

I encourage everybody with a panel like that to learn it by heart.
You will not use it when you need to look at a chart.
Count the amount of clicks needed to navigate to a function.
Develop muscle memory.
Thats the beauty of a given mapping.

Well, the panels are new and the menu is still the same as we had on the wave .
Maybe more will come, I could use a dedicated LOG page for example so I don’t use 3 way when on log and such.
But the most important thing is : get yourself a tiny lamp 🙂A slice of color…

This option on render does the opposite you would think .
It scales the video form 64-940 to 0-1024 on output .
If you want it to stay legal, you need to render data level .
Makes sense ?
Yeah, to me too …
To check if you are safe, use a Lut with a nice soft knee or look at your scopes AFTER rendering.
So bring it back in and check .
All of this of course works for DPX only, if you render to MXF and stuff you also need to make sure tout clip attributes are set correctly..A slice of color…

Same here, and if you stumble over Arri Raw, just make a prores out of it for the remote.
There is nothing to be gained but sharpness from the raw imho.So far we are still using Scratch for the Consolidating from external disks to the main storage.
An XMl or EDL based approach would be amazing that does not require to load the whole media into any application first.
Truncating clips is a secondary action for me.
First I would like to be able to just sort it all in used and unused and then physically join all the used ones into one location.A slice of color…

Single display applications like Smoke and Scratch will greatly benefit from it.
I´m in for one if I get a decent project for the home studio.
