I actually think you will go down to 1K or less for grading..
And its fine….you need playback too..
Have a good look at the footage…9 out of 10 times I even use the 2K settings for final delivery…

I did not do the grading….
But I worked as technical grader on the VFX shots GHOST VFX in Copenhagen did.
The challenge was to develop a way the tech grade can be transformed into Nukes nodes , working in true linear space , so the 3D and compositing people then could do their magic.
Afterwards the CC nodes needed to be reversed so the VFX shots had the exact same look for the final grade.

Just another partition, cloned from the first one after the system has been set up and then just a Resolve/Decklink setup in one and an Aja/Smoke/Scratch in the other…

Speed changes are always a b…ch.
I tend to ask my editor to disable them and export a second timeline with all the footage he would like to get graded and then do the retime.
Alternatively you can make some decisions and provide the color grader with retimed clips.
I am in favour of finishing the video part in Resolve entirely and just do graphical overlays in a later stage with Smoke (or FCP if thats whats needed)A slice of color…

GTX 570 or 680.forget the 2 aux , you need a Y-splitter and all is well.
Sure, it helps not to use the ATi cards are they are also power hungry.
I am running a Quadro 4000 and a GTX 470 for a year now without probs.

Also it features 2 DVI and 2 Display ports and thus can feed 4 screens or a projector with 4 inputs.
