Film Royal Affair
Posted by Robin Erard on November 19, 2012 at 5:10 pmHello all,
Good advise, go to watch the film “Royal Affair” grade by Sasha Haber (if I’m right), very good job Sasha. And very good story too.

November 19, 2012 at 5:25 pmThank you for posting something positive and actually grading related on the forum 🙂
I have browsing here as much recently as it’s normally just lots of technical issues posted.
I’ll definitely check that out!

I did not do the grading….
But I worked as technical grader on the VFX shots GHOST VFX in Copenhagen did.
The challenge was to develop a way the tech grade can be transformed into Nukes nodes , working in true linear space , so the 3D and compositing people then could do their magic.
Afterwards the CC nodes needed to be reversed so the VFX shots had the exact same look for the final grade.
Here are some VFX breakdowns for the interested audience. https://ghost.dk/?p=1141A slice of color…

November 20, 2012 at 10:27 amThe grade is done by a guy called Peter Diemar. And worth noticing, it’s shot on 35mm. Film still rules 🙂
