I just finished remote grading music video. Upon presenting the final video, talent requested some changes. Yeah, I know, why wasn’t the edit approved, before the final grading, right? Well, it’s not up to me…
Anyway, two days later I get new missing material and a new XML. Conform the new timeline, all grades get automatically transferred from the master session with only a couple of scenes left to grade. Great, right?
Well, not exactly. Some shots in the new version of the edit have new IN and OUTs. When the TC of those shots is different in duration, the tracked window is not valid anymore for the frames outside of the old TC.
So, here is my question. Would it be possible, once Resolve detects such an instances with tracked windows, to have some kind of an indicator. This way I could just go to those shots and finish the tracking, rather than spend time checking all events manually. In my case couple of hundred cuts, rather than just 5 shots, that needed the new tracking.
