Well, Technicolor is a well known vendor and should give you all the support you need.
But the basic steps are those.
1. You need to provide a calibrated viewing solution to a standard you both can settle on. Normally P3 on a projector or monitor.
2. Your client need to settle on a stock used, either Vision or Prime.
3. They need to provide you with a LUT that simulates that exact process.On the other hand, Cinevator uses its own LUT box , does not go through the negative pipeline and is much easier to control.
Its important to show them your source material and talk it through, then settle on a 2 minute print test , early in the process and all will be fine.A slice of color…

Just get a 470 for the same money and get 175% processing power of the 285. No-brainer.

I am also not a huge fan of the card.
It does what it says, speeding up playback.
But scrubbing is very laggy ad sluggish, and feels slower that without the card.
It a great buy if you get paid for doing dailies thoughA slice of color…

Hey Peter,
I noticed there are several functions available that would make sense to have a Caps lock Shift like command, like advancing a frame for example.
Pressing Shift,Function,Shift,Function several times makes it hard to work with.
Would it be possible to either have another button assigned or just simply hold down the key for entering a sequence like SHifthold,Function,Function,Function ?
On the Wave that goes for the ALT key especially, same on the MC.

You have the answers already, I would also hate to see a dual thunderbolt driven MacPro if I had just bought the old one.
You need a Quadro 4000 for AE and another one for DaVinci , With your raid and rocket in place, there is no other way then Cubix( or similar)
