Tony’s way will work- I think.
If not, I would downsize the HD film in AE to a PAL/NTSC Project. And let that run through compressor. AE is doing a much better job with that than compressor.

That is a weird thing. Never encountered a problem like this before. If it’s not compressor, it only can be the source files. That’s why I thought to give it a shot, and re-render one of the final clips and encode those with compressor to see if there’s a change.

I think you will not regret your choice.
As for the 750HD 5400rpm – I have in my MBP also a 5400 disc and it’s just fine.
The extra internal capacity can become handy, if you are a lot on the road and if you have big banks – presets, foley libraries or so, which you wanna store in the machine.
Also the 5400rpm is getting less fast hot, than the 7200rpm.
It’s give and take. I personally would be fine with 500GB and go for the faster one.
And the RAM is really cheap – check OWC (other World Computing) – you get damn good RAM there – a lot cheaper than with Apple.

Well, in this case, maybe Sapphire is a bit over the top.
FX Factory is very very good – I love the Plug Ins and they are as far as I remember pretty fair priced.
Maybe first get the free trial versions. They are full functioning, but with watermarks.
So, you can integrate them in your project – and play around with it.
And the once that stand the tests and you really want in your project – buy those then.
Besides, I still would wait with the big buy…even if FCP X is upgraded and will stand the Pepsi Challenge as professional NLE – since its architecture is entirely different from the old FCP – a lot of them won’t work.

Found it, but that is a total auto balance button – also for contrast, low, mids & highs.
I was just hoping there would be something similar like in the 3-Way-CC from FCP.

🙁 Sad news, that is kind of a work around. Ok. Will do it like that.
Just hoped there would have been something like the 3-Way-CC method inside COLOR.
