    Hallo Sheree,

first of all, you can adjust it to the 16to9 screen, with Distort function in your motion tab by changing Aspect Ratio and then resizing it to canvas size.
But because of your question, I tried a bit around and found a much better way – wow, did not know that before myself:
Load the wished master template in your viewer, then drag & drop to your Browser.
Now look for the Tab “Anamorphic” in your Browser and set it to on.
Now, when you drop that Template back on the timeline, it’s anamorphic 16 to 9.

    Et Voila!

  • VERY INTERESTING FINDING:

After a clean system re-install from scratch, every application new installation, all checked.
The compressor finally worked again, but inside FCP on the time line Happy beach balling as before.
Thinking the project file itself is corrupted, try to export as XML – it didn’t work – froze on export.
    UNTIL:

I had a lot of markers, also on the clips in the timeline, after deleting all the markers, suddenly it worked.
I did not know, but apparently to many markers on timeline freeze FCP down.

You never stop learning, and all the fuzz I did…and the solution was so easy 🙂

  • I always check my system with Applejack & Disk Warrior.
A friend of mine did an analysis of my Console Stats, apparently something is really screwed up in my Network.

  • That is true, but now I hack myself through this project first…don’t wanna chance of wiping it all now.
But yes, afterwards I definately should do a clean install, i totally agree.
    Thanx.

  • Sorry to disappoint again, but I am aware of those softwares and I tried the Compressor one already.

  • Hi Micheal,

first of thanx for answering, but it amazes me again and again, that people on COW always accusing not not having checked first. I did, and i did not come across anything that refers to my problem specifically.
The internal HD is not an option since I work on a MBP.
Secondly, I checked with other projects and media files and the problem inside FCP (beach balling) seems to be just for that particular projects. All attempts to save it new or export/import XML to clean it failed.
The compressor problem seems to be unrelated to that and a seperate issue.

Somehow I doubt it…since it’s the copy of a TV station I work for.
But in any case I found the Digital Rebellion version.
I just really hope, that fixes my problem, since it’s gonna be a hustle to re-install everything.

Walter certainly is, but there is once. It’s on the Installation DVD in the Extras Folder. It’s called FCS Remover.

You mean running Disk Warrior over the start up disk? But that is not possible to optimize the start up disk.
I do run AppleJack very often.
Repairing preferences? You mean the ones inside DiskWarrior or Disk Utility?

Why do I need the Plug In of Digital Rebellion? The FCS Remover from FCP itself is not good?
