I found the media browser – Problem: The MFX Files do not show up under “Supported Files”, if I switch to all files, they do, but still the same problem: They playback without sound. Maybe MFX files are too much even for PPro. They seem to be unsupported by PPro.

I don’t have to do it directly, I did already copy all tho the system HD. But I wonder, if I do it over the XDCAM Browser (where you do not have an option to chose in Preferences), how I can determine the import Codec (in L&T Tool I can choose between ProRes, ProRes LT and all the others). Is there a way, to also have that option when doing so over the external XDCAM Tools?

Only thing that still puzzles me: He says, that the final QT File, when taken into compressor takes as well super long to encode for DVD. That is strange, since it is not connected to the Neat Video Filter anymore at all.

To answer this Q it need sway more information: Source Footage Desctiption (codec, frame size/rate and so on), TL settings and so on. Try in any case to set your TL option from play safe to unlimited, so it will even play the orange bar files, but probably in lower res or in lower frame rate.

I did not solve it in Cinema Tools, I converted it in After Effects to 25p.
There it worked without a problem, just took longer.
I still would be curious though, why this thing happened.

Sorry people, that I can’t be to active on that thread right now, since I’m performing in England the coming days.
Just one question/remark: I saw many times now mentioned the idea to drop the footage into a 16/9 anamorphic TL.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you do this to native SD footage in 4/3, don’t you get then a horizontal distortion, meaning a horizontal stretch out of the material?I know that my version is only an esthetical 16/9 solution, giving the widescreen look to a 4/3 footage, but the anamorphic version for this material would cause distortion.

Yes, weird enough it still happens, just worked on one recently.
I’d also second the first opinion: First of good camera, a DoP that knows what he is doing & good lighting.
I see a lot of Vignette use in the video, Black Diffusion and silky look around edges of things, like the Green Pearl look in Magic Bullet Looks.
I think also, that you can get a quiet similar look like the video from Bullet Looks, if you tweak around.
But you need pro footage like this to begin with.When I look at the video, I feel like vomiting: As a true Hip Hop Lover,
this thing reminds how low the standards in this genre went in the times of Lil’ Waynes and 50Cents.Greetz,
