I beg to differ: Our Studio works since 8 years with Hackintosh System for DaVinci and AE – including on bigger commercials and Cinema Films.
Reliable and rock steady. Some issues yes, but not more than the real MACs in our studio.
Always depends how and who build the HacMac.Best,

But I work also in many other Apps and every time I worked on PC it was such a nightmare.
I do not get along with this OS at all.
Plus, if there is an issue and I am under pressure/deadline, I am able to find a solution to any problem on a MAC in 99% of the times…. but on PC, I will be Stevie Wonder working as Interior Designer – a disaster.Best,

apparently it is a known issue, that more professionals encountered with DVR:
Let’s say I have 3 Cameras, I line them up and created a MultiCam TL synced up from the three.Then I drop this MultiCam Nest on a TL, where I then do my MultiCam editing, switching between the three Cams, causing an edit point each time I switch.
Now, after finish the editing, in this case, the director wanted certain Cuts to be resized and re-positioned: I applied those changed through the inspector to the MultiCam Nested Clip.
Then in the end when all is done, I flatten the TL back to single clips of the corresponding camera (1,2 or 3) -> consolidating the MultiCam TL.
After the consolidation, all the Scale and Position adjustments I did not the PreComp MultiCam Clip gets lost in the flattening.Best,

Yes. I also solved this one with a workaround:
When I want to change from BRaw to proxy, I delete the BRaw from
The media Browser – footage on TL goes offline.
Then I made a a new bin, imported the proxy file and then it forced relinked
Itself to it.
If you wanna reverse it, do same thing vice versa.Best,

Wait, I think we are talking of two different issues now:
One was the flickering screen when playing back timeline,
This was solved by the method I described before.
What you meanness the other issue i had: DVR would not
Relink to the Proxy Files when BRaw is the Master, right?Sascha.

Yes, I did.
Go to preferences -> general and there uncheck the box “Use Mac Display Color Profiles”.At least, that is what I remember solved it.

thanx. Yes, that was what I was afraid of: Tons of time consuming tweaking.
Did try the flicker free OFX by Boris.
It seems already to do a better job than the standard DVR OFX.
I heard also that the Flicker Free OFX from Digital Anarchy should be very good.Best,
