you can still edit it in fcp 6 only thing you want be able to do is take your timeline to color…

it will edit smooth in fcp 6 also

I’ve edited xdcam ex but of jvc 700. But if you can upgrade fcp to 7 it works fine.

Hi Guys!

I was right no hardware problem…. even i didn’t reinstall the system. i just run software updates and installed all the availabe updates and there you go… everything working allright now no shutdowns what so ever…

use photoshop for making mask in any shape, scale design, edges in black and white and use layer mode to luma for the footage

I think you guys are right… i’ll reinstall FCP 1st than if it still happens i’ll reinstall everything just to check… i’ve already called to apple support for checking the system hardware…

Thanks for your views, but all other software like compressor, motion renders ok; doesn’t causes the shut down. that’s why i think its not a hardware problem. if only happens when I do it from FCP.

Thanks for the advice.

I think you both are very right, i am not going to get better than what is recorded by the camera…

JVC Records on XDCAM 4:2:0 which they call ProHD, and i want to do a chroma work also. and after a lot of reading i found chroma keying and color grading is done better if the footage is 4:2:2.

so if I take output from SDI it would be 422 and i can capture it with prores 422 HQ and do the work easily

thats the only reason why I needed advice from pros like you…
