Does the source file playback audio in QuickTime? Right click on the clip and select “Reveal in Finder”

You didn’t leave your log and capture/transfer window open did you?

Can you get anything to make a sound in FCP? Try playing back bars and tone.

This is going to sound dumb, but make sure you’re modifying the one in the timeline. Sometimes I think I am, but it turns out to be an imaginary one in the viewer.

Just double click on it the one in the timeline to make sure.

Also, are you using FCP5 or 6?

It will take longer for some clips because it will analyze the entire original footage, not just the in and out points. If you need to speed it up, export the clip as a self contained file then bring it back in and apply Smoothcam.

I used it just the other day with wonderful results.

Yup. Sorry. Forgot to mention to duplicate your clip before you go into Cinema Tools.

The FRC works fine. I just like Cinema Tools better.

Strange. Moving the clip in FCP6 works fine. You moved the center point in the motion tab? Did it remove the render?

It actually changes the distort property in the motion tab on all of the clips. You can change it back if you need to.

We have Mackie, Yamaha, and Behringer mixers here. My least favorite is the Yamaha. I like the Behringer 1204FX that we have because it is like a fourth of the cost of our Mackie. We only use it to monitor audio.

Yes. The FX are pointless, but it does make the mixer look more complex which is good for clients.

I haven’t had any issues with our Behringer mixer and would buy another one if I needed.
