How did you install it?

I go into SVP 11, and there’s nothing under Tools > Extensions.

I’m not sure. I think mp4.

If I go into the System tab, within the Notes section it reads:

“Use this setting to create an MP4 (AVC/AAC) file for progressive internet downloads.”

Next to Format, it reads:

“Audio: 192 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, AAC
Video: 23.976 fps, 640×360 Progressive, YUV, 12 Mbps
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.000”

Does that help?

Dare I ask…yep…me thinks I shall!

Can you–in layman’s terms–explain the difference between bicubic and I think the other is bilinear.

What’s the difference and how does each work?

I just needed to set the Quality to Best in the Project Properties!

I found that strange, too. I know in Photoshop when you upsize, it can cause jaggies.

I’m definitely downsizing. Going from 1920×1080 to 640×360.

Thanks. It’s clear now.

One problem I’m having though, is that my source is 1920×1080. I want my final render to be 640×360. The text in my final render ends up a bit with jagged edges when I shrink it down.

Any way to get sharp text when going from 1920×1080 to 640×360?

OK. I think I solved it.

Duh! I simply matched the Project Settings to my Render As settings. I set up a custom template for each.

Dumb question: is it THAT important that Project Settings and Render settings be the same? (I guess so!)

Another question: in the Project Settings, there’s the Pixel Format option in the Video tab. What is that for? I currently have mine set to 8 bit. Should I change it to 32 bit?

Thanks. I’ll just keep working with it.

I also notice that when you go into the Pan/Crop tool, where the plugin chain appears, there’s a default one in the chain called Composite. If that appears AFTER the Secondary CC, the Secondary CC won’t work. You have to move the Secondary CC AFTER the Composite.

I’ll just have to play with it.
