    jes they are, shading was originally “backround”, after i turned it to shading, neither the shadow or the shading was visible. I have to say that i am using sketch style tags, which maybe compete to the render settings, but i also changed the tag to “shading”.

    I copied the Tags from a file which has perfect sketch presets. The wierd thing is that nothing happens after turnung shading on ….

    jeah i will mess around with your hints, in the end s&t takes a lot of
    renderpower on my MBP, hope i find the right path in the next ours…

    hey, this is nearly what i want but i forgot an important detail,
    all the layers start at the same z position! from here they should spread in z space. so all those hints dont work.

    your method is what i called ” one by one”.
    but imagine when u got maybee 100 layers, there is a lot of
    work to do then. It is still okay to do that by taking every single layer and put them into the final position.

    But it would be nice to have a kind of a way to highlight all, press a speacial key maybe and grab the z-axis of one of those layers and they
    begin to spread in the z space.

    i found a script who is able to spread all the layers in z space, but this is not a very comfortable to handle it.
