    Hey there!

Its my first Post here, so welcome to myself.

My Question: I got several 3D layers in After Effects, a lot Layers
so i cant do this job using expressions i think.
All these layers should spread in the z axis, very automatic so i cant
    edit it one by one.

    Any Idea?

    regards Ronny!

    hey thanks for your answer!

your method is what i called ” one by one”.
but imagine when u got maybee 100 layers, there is a lot of
work to do then. It is still okay to do that by taking every single layer and put them into the final position.

But it would be nice to have a kind of a way to highlight all, press a speacial key maybe and grab the z-axis of one of those layers and they
begin to spread in the z space.

i found a script who is able to spread all the layers in z space, but this is not a very comfortable to handle it.

Look up Aaron Rabinowitz’ podcast on Z-scale.

Basically, put all your layers in a 3d comp, and spread them out with z-scale. It’s an easy way to spread them out, although I’m not sure if this is what you want or not..

hey, this is nearly what i want but i forgot an important detail,
all the layers start at the same z position! from here they should spread in z space. so all those hints dont work.
