Thanks for the tip. I tried to open the program with the Shift key down but it still only got as far as the interface with the Perspective View just a blank gray space. Thing is, I’ve never had any problems running C4D R11 with this card so maybe there’s something else at work here. It was doing just fine before I changed drivers on the card.

By the way, I’m having a devil of a time trying to retrain R12 to try to reconstruct where in the world to find textures on models created in R11. When it says that a texture is located at “preset//user.lib4d/materials/tex/image.jpg” I haven’t been able to locate where on my computer that is in order to tell R12 where to go to get it.

I guess upgrades are always a learning process. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Adam, that helps. Now if I could just afford the Studio version, that would be perfect.

Thanks, Randy. That makes my decision even easier.

    Alan,

No I have not. For the past year or two I have concentrated mainly on C4D and am using ProAnimator strictly as an AE plug-in, basically for quick text animations.

Thanks, Brian. Can’t wait to get home from the main job so I can finish the one I really love, 3D modeling!

I should have thought of that right off, but for some reason it was like a brick wall that I couldn’t get past. The facet idea is great too. Thanks, you always bail me out. Have a great weekend.

I just always remember to render out with the Animation compression and the alpha channel is preserved.

Thanks, Matt. I’ll check this one out as soon as I get home from work. You know, one problem I’m having with Thinking Particles is if I have two systems in close proximity in the same scene.they interact with each other and the particles stop aligning to their respective paths. Since I couldn’t solve that interaction I was forced to manually animate single shapes along a second spline.

That’s exactly what I’m after! Thanks for the help. That tip alone will enable me to bring this project in on time. I really need to devote more time to mastering Thinking Particles.

Thanks for the tip, but I haven’t figured out between which nodes it should be placed, either in the offset vector, range mapper, or TP Move on Spline sections, or for that matter which nodes to create inside the TP Align with Banking box. I’m new to Thinking Particles and still trying to get my bearings.
