Thanks for that… certainly helpful, but it’s too bad I can’t see the thumbnails at the same time. I can put used ones into a separate bin, though.

Seems the forum on the Sony website is useless, I’ve had several questions ignored for weeks.

But… if you hit the BUY button, samples are there, online. So, not sure what the difference is. ?

When I was setting up media manager, it was recommended to install the Loops and Samples. When I found out that the Samples weren’t “samples”, it seemed that it was a ploy to get people to buy these… It’s great that Sony set up the catalog, but why have it for those not buying libraries? Why not get the catalog when you buy a library?

Guess I should have investigated more closely before installing.

    Thanks…
It really seems pretty useless then! I would think some samples would make sense. Guess it’s just a marketing ploy, but not a very good one. Even when you get to the website, the interface is not friendly at all.

    Aleksey…

You are exactly right my .mpo files are from Fuji. That’s a bummer! Yes, I can output side by side with Stereo Photo Maker, but it just seems to be a rip! Well, I like to auto-align in SPM, so I guess it’s not terrible.

Thanks for the Vegasaur tip- didn’t know about the plugin, though $80 seems quite expensive. Guess I’ll have to do the many stills by hand (after the 30 days).

    THANKS for your help.

OK, today ALL the icons show descriptions when hovering, however the “Arrange Documents” pull-down does not show icons… I think I’ve seen the icons there once since getting CS4 about a month ago…

Yup, I thought the view was the active camera (with the yellow triangles, since I’ve got both camera views up).

Now if I could only figure out why my rendered .avi’s don’t have sound! (that’s another thread).

    THANKS for quick response, Andy.

Ah, you did the Nosferatu… brave soul! You have an idea of how hard it is to convert footage, like when he was behind a bunch of flowers, for example. Never mind transparencies, smoke, reflections~!

Of course there is a stereoscopic thread, but one way people are outputting stereo movies is via a side by side or over/under format for left eye/right eye. Then Stereoscopic Player (for example) utility will play in a multitude of formats, including anaglyph.

I know it’s a fake effect, from the days before AE supported z-space. Now that it does, I hope it will implement real 3D effects. I had a layer, made it 3D, and when I applied the 3D Tumble, I certainly expected the layer to fly around in 3D space (I have 2 cameras setup).

With the renewed interest in stereo, I hope AE will jump on this since it really shouldn’t be hard to add. (I’ve already notified the “wish list”)

    thanks
