.mpo and side by side 3D image files
1) So, Vegas “supports” .mpo files, but I don’t see them as stereo, and there seems to be no “Stereoscopic 3D Mode” Properties format that works.
2) I see how I can import side by side stills and set 3D properties (as above) but is there no way to import a batch of side by side images as stereo (without having to set each Property one at a time)?Thanks…

1) It seems that Vegas supports MPO format only from Sony cameras. In this case you can use “Pair with next stream” stereo 3D option. If your .mpo files are from Fuji then you can convert them to JPS format, which Vegas supports and use “Side by side (full)” option. For converting you can use MPO2JPS utility from MPO Toolbox (it’s free)
2) Afaik, there is no way to set media properties for multiple files in Vegas, except for the use of scripts (scripts can be used only in Pro version). For quickly changing stereoscopic 3D properties of multiple media files you can try Quick Properties extension from Vegasaur toolkit (it’s not free, but it has free 30 days trial period).

You are exactly right my .mpo files are from Fuji. That’s a bummer! Yes, I can output side by side with Stereo Photo Maker, but it just seems to be a rip! Well, I like to auto-align in SPM, so I guess it’s not terrible.
Thanks for the Vegasaur tip- didn’t know about the plugin, though $80 seems quite expensive. Guess I’ll have to do the many stills by hand (after the 30 days).
