    Your new rig, i9, NICE!
So it works great with that PC?

    My main editing PC is:
    Processor: Intel Xeon (R) CPU E5 1650 0 @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz
    RAM 16.0 GB
    64-bit
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 730
Faster than the speed of light, LOL…
I would hope it would work fine on this…

I missed the recent special, because I wanted to make sure it would not affect my current configuration…

    Scott,
    “15 crashes a LOT more than 14”
That’s not good to hear. I hope they have updates often to take care of these…

    Thanks for all the replies…

    My settings are defaulted to,
    Good (instead of Best)
    and
    Smart resample

Wonder if I should change these?

I have the Sony AX/100, similar cams. If you have the settings correct, there should be another folder that contains the 4k video. If you have it on Dual mode, it will create both. I made notes of where the files are located, On the SD card:
    4k video – MP4
    S:\PRIVATE\M4ROOT\CLIP

    HiDef – MTS
    S:\PRIVATE\AVCHD\BDMV\STREAM

    Low quality 720 video – MP4
    S:\MP_ROOT\100ANV01

I agree that B&H Photo is VERY VERY good. I’ve made MANY purchases from them in the past. But the SAME camcorder is $200 cheaper at 42nd Street Photo. Just wondering if anyone has ever bought from them? I haven’t ruled out B&H Photo yet though…
    Sony FDR-AX100
    $1698 vs $1499

I would think my PC is powerful enough. It does render, but will not playback MXF files.

I was hoping to create 4k files that will play on most PC’s

    Thanks,
    Ron
