Thanks for that info Shane, especially about the mixing of codecs.

Just to make sure, I can just go into sequence settings and change the compression codec to ProRes right?

Awesome, I want to see it, didn’t think the Indians made films like this; shame I’ve just seen the end though 🙂

    Hi Molly,

Can I have more detail please, when you say render out, do you mean export or just when it renders in the timeline?

Ah, I think therein lies my problem, my VHS recorder is pretty basic, so I’ve only got scart and RF in/out connections.

Is that the only option Michael, am I going to have to give up on this or get a better video recorder?

November 11, 2010 at 7:35 pm in reply to: Option missing in AV IN/OUT SETUP

    Hi Michael,

I found the 1394 OUT menu item, the reason I wasn’t finding it because the camera was in P2 mode instead of tape.

However it still didn’t make a difference, I haven’t set the camera and FS to DV25, I will do now.

The deck is connected to the TV using the component cable and no I’m not seeing the video on the LCD.

Is this because I haven’t set to DV25 on cam and FS?

    Hi Michael,

Do you mean MCR/VCR mode? Because when I go into that mode I can’t get back to the AV IN/Out menu. If not how can I get to VTR please?

I’ve looked through the manual and I can’t find how to.

    many thanks
